When developer New Milford Redevelopment Associates, LLC, an affiliate of one of NJ’s premier family owned real estate development organizations contracted to purchase the former 16.5 acres owned by United Water, the developer retained Silbert Realty & Management Company as it consultant and broker to represent its interests in the future redevelopment of this premier property. According to founder Brian Silbert, whose firm is celebrating its 32nd year in existence, “we viewed a unique opportunity would exist to potentially relocate an undersized but highly successful existing ShopRite Supermarket serving New Milford to a much more desirable and pedestrian attractive location within this great community and in so doing, not lose the great Inserra ShopRite brand to possibly relocating to another municipality.”
Through the efforts of the developer and its many professionals including Silbert, in cooperation with New Milford and the Inserra Supermarket organization, the vision of all those involved will become a reality when ShopRite opens its doors next Spring to the 70,000 SF supermarket which will include a free-standing Wells Fargo Bank branch and a community recreation field, with a combined parking capacity for approximately 500 vehicles. With beautiful hardscape and landscaped grounds affording pedestrian friendly walking areas throughout the redevelopment, the site is bounded by Main Street and River Road and Madison Avenue within the Northern portion of the Borough of New Milford, directly adjacent New Milford High School and single family dwellings.
